    DB9/DB25 headshell pinout?

Running cat5 cable from the PC to the Epson-compatible reciept printers seems to work well. The DB9F/RJ45 and DB25M/RJ45 headshells are required for this cable setup.

Does BPA publish the pinouts of the headshells so I can make my own and know that they work with BPA software/windows/receipt printers?

They are just standard DB25M to DB9 null modem pinout. Our software and windows doesn't dictate what pinout the printer uses. The printer itself does.

I agree that the BPA software doesn't care, as long as windows can communicate with the printer.

But, for those of us who could use the information, it would be helpful in the greater sense of connecting Epson receipt printers to a PC.

Note that the Epson/PC cable pinout seems over complex, thus my question.

In my experiance, having built many of these myself, the Null Modem pinout is complicated and I don't see it ever being easy even when you have a pinout sheet in front of you.

To bad they didn't make it real easy like

    Pin 1 to Pin 1
    Pin 2 to Pin 2
    Pin 3 to Pin 3

    .....

With the kits we purchase to build the cable ends with we just have wire color to pin number cheet sheet list.
