    cash vs. accrual accounting

I have been informed from my accountant that this system operates on an accrual accounting system...he is advising me to use a cash accounting system (he says he has NO restaurant clients that operate on accrual) I am wondering how this system has worked for others - has this cause a problem for you?
Also, I am wondering if there is a way to convert this software from accrual to cash??
    Please advise.
    Thanks

Why shift to cash accounting? I think in business it is more practical to use the accrual method because of unrealized assets like receivables.
