The product database holds records of every product you can sell during the course of business. The inventory database holds records for the products you have available for sale, it is a sub-set of the product database. The first step is to define products, putting in purchase costs and selling prices. Then go to ‘Inventory Management' select the functions which copies products to inventory setting up individual inventory records for each product. After this is completed select ‘Modify', use the picklist select the first inventory record and when the entire database is displayed on the screen, you can now enter quantities into the "on-hand" field. When you have finished entering quantities the system will update the product records with the quantities you have entered.
